Originally approved by the BPDA Board in 2019, the new development at 28-30 Geneva Street in East Boston began as a five-story building to house 26 residential condo units with 19 off-street parking spots. The revised project eliminates one floor and seven units from the previous model. The result is a four-story building with 19 condo units and 19 off-street parking spots.

The first floor of the Geneva Street project will house the lobby, trash room, utilities, elevator, and 19 parking spaces. These spaces comprise three automated stacked parking systems, with a capacity of 16 cars among all three systems. In addition, two additional compact car spaces and one van-accessible space will also be available – totaling 19 spaces.

28-30 Geneva will consist of fifteen one-bedroom units and four two-bedroom units. The second floor of the building is made up of six one-bedroom units and one two-bedroom unit. Floor three is made of four one-bedroom units and two two-bedroom units. Finally, the last floor, the fourth floor, is made of five one-bedroom units and one two-bedroom unit. This totals all 19 condo-style living spaces.

South Boston is about to gain a new mixed-development property located at 658-660 East Broadway. The proposed project features eight residential units, a restaurant space, and commercial office space. The new South Boston project will take up 8,868 square feet.

The project's presentation has laid out the specifics of the four-floor development. Each floor will have its unique contribution to the overall project – with the restaurant located on the ground level and the second floor occupied by the shared, commercial office space.

The eight residential units will be found on floors three and four of the building. Each unit will offer a different combination of two-bedroom and two to two-and-a-half-bath setups. However, based on the architectural plans, each unit will be similar in size, with four units on each floor. In addition, each unit will have at least one small terrace, which will offer a limited patio-style area.

Part of the proposed landscape plan presented to the board includes the possible inclusion of permeable pavers, grill counters, and catenary lights. These amenities will be off the first floor, offering a privacy fence and gate around the property's exterior in two separate areas. The first floor will also share space for a lobby-style entry with package drop-off and bike storage.
