If you haven't heard the good news - The City of Boston is reconstructing The Northern Avenue Bridge to “re-envision a community connection”. By doing so, it will connect Seaport District to Downtown Boston for pedestrians only. After years of being closed off, this project will put the bridge to good use and will be friendly and safe for the community. The Bridge was closed from being used in 2014 and our community of bikers and pedestrians will be able to use the bridge again upon completion.
The final design for the bridge has been selected, projected to be about a $100 million project. The developers of the bridge are anticipating a 2022 opening – just 2 years away.
The connection between Downtown and Seaport just got a whole lot better, especially for new residents of the bustling Seaport. If you’re thinking of moving to Seaport, this is just another great reason to do so.
