Raffles Breaks Ground in Back Bay

Since 1887, Raffles Hotels and Resorts has been a global leader in the luxury hotel industry. All of their properties, from the stunning Raffles Hotel in Singapore to Hotel Europejski in Warsaw, provide guests with the very best in glamour, adventure, and warm hospitality.  So, when it came time for the company to venture into the North American market, they wanted to find a neighborhood just as storied and iconic as they – and they found it in Boston’s Back Bay.

September 26, 2019, marked the official groundbreaking of Raffles Boston Back Bay hotel and residences, a mixed-use property that will stand at 40 Trinity Place, Boston, MA by 2021. This project marks the first North American property for Raffles, as well as their first collaboration with Trinity Stuart LLC (itself a partnership between Boston hoteliers Gary and Jeffrey Saunders of Saunders Hotel Group and developer Jordan Warshaw of The Noannet Group, together with their equity partner Cain International).

The 33-story, $400 million+ property is expected to carry all the trademark glamour of its Raffles hotel kinfolk. The hotel boasts 147 guest rooms and six high-end food and beverage venues for guests to enjoy. The hotel will also offer a wealth of services and amenities, including a 20-meter indoor pool, a rooftop garden, a two-story sky lobby with a stunning view of Copley Square, and of course Raffles’ famous butler service. These exceptional features – as well as the hotel’s prime location near tourist hotspots like Fenway Park – should make Raffles Boston Back Bay hotel a must-visit spot for the city’s most affluent visitors.

However, this Raffles property will not simply serve as a new Back Bay hotel; it will one day be home to luxury-seeking tourists and cosmopolitan Bostonians alike. In addition to its hotel rooms, the property will offer 146 branded residences (seven of which will be affordable housing units), from pied-a-terre suites and penthouses to one- to three-bedroom homes. Raffles residents will also have access to all of the resort’s amenities, as well as exclusive membership in the company’s loyalty program.

In addition to the prestige and elegance, the new hotel is expected to bring to Back Bay, Raffles’ latest development will provide the community with over $22 million in public benefits through street improvements, their affordable housing units, and a $13 million contribution towards affordable housing opportunities in Boston. These efforts – as well as the company’s long history of excellence in hospitality – make it clear that Raffles Boston Back Bay hotel will be a wonderful addition to this historic community.

Nantucket Brings The Nautilus restaurant to Boston

The Boston Seaport District is known for some of the best seafood restaurants in the city – for good reason. With direct access to the harbor, the local eateries in this area can get their goods fresh directly from the source. In the spring of 2020, this trendy neighborhood will welcome The Nautilus restaurant from Nantucket, which will be housed in the stylish Pier 4 Seaport luxury condo building.

Nautilus Pier 4 promises to be more than just another seafood restaurant. It will bring a one-of-a-kind taste of Nantucket to Boston. The restaurant is known for flavor-packed plates that incorporate Asian and Latin American influences into traditional New England dishes. Favorites include Berkshire pork belly buns with herb salad and coffee mayo, tempura-fried East Coast oyster tacos, and a homemade udon noodle soup. Since chef Liam Mackey opened the first location in 2014, the restaurant has become synonymous with innovative, quality cuisine.

The Nautilus will join several other attractive eating and dining options in the Pier 4 building. Cisco Brewers, a Nantucket brewery and distillery, was located in Seaport this past summer and will re-open with a picturesque ice-skating rink in place of their beer garden. Another highlight in the Pier 4 building is Woods Hill, the new farm-to-table waterfront restaurant from Kristin Canty, a farm owner, and restauranteur.

The Pier 4 luxury construction condo site is the ideal place to enjoy foods and drinks of all kinds. It boasts one acre of green space with water on three sides, access to Harbor Walk, and is just steps from the Institute of Contemporary Art. By combining public spaces and private residences, real estate development firm, Tishman Speyer has curated a true neighborhood feeling in the bustling Seaport District. With The Nautilus arriving in the spring of 2020, the Pier 4 neighborhood will welcome yet another valuable addition to the community.

Woods Hill Pier 4 opens as the first farm-to-table waterfront restaurant in Seaport

Kristin Canty, farm owner, and restauranteur will be bringing a new concept to the Seaport District – a farm-to-table waterfront restaurant that will be located at the Pier 4 luxury construction condos site.  Woods Hill Pier 4 will be Seaport’s first-ever farm-to-table restaurant, making it a very unique and innovative addition to the variety of upscale dining options in the neighborhood

Taking the place of where Anthony’s Pier 4 restaurant once stood, Woods Hill will be opening its doors for dinner tonight, November 26th, in Seaport, Boston.  Canty’s farm-to-table will provide a hospitable waterfront dining experience with 140 seats with a raw bar and an outdoor patio that will seat 40.  In honor of the legacy that Anthony’s has left behind, Canty plans to commemorate the many years of Anthony’s existence at Pier 4.

The developer of Pier 4, Tishman Speyer’s Jeff Wechsler said Woods Hill “will bring something original to the Seaport’s growing retail base.” Not only is Speyer bringing a meticulously designed luxury waterfront residence to Seaport, but also more retail tenants that will be revealed in the upcoming months “that contribute to the urban respite we’re creating on the waterfront.”

Enjoy the convenience of living at Pier 4 and having Woods Hill farm-to-table restaurant along with retail options on site.  Contact Elevated Residential for more information on the pre-construction luxury listings for waterfront condos.

Designed by world-famous architect Kohn Pederson Fox, it will consist of three 21-story residential towers covering a total of 1.3 million square feet. Located in the popular Seaport District, the project will comprise of 733 luxury condos and apartments.
